Bounce vs. Mesibash: which fits how you actually host? (2026)
By Raziel Tabib, co-founder of Mesibash
If you're comparing Bounce and Mesibash, here's the honest version up front: this is not a fee fight. Both keep the guest-side cost small. The real difference is what kind of hosting each one is built for. Bounce figures below were verified against bouncelife.com and its FAQ on October 14, 2026; Mesibash figures come from the product.
The fees, side by side
Bounce charges a $1.00 ticketing fee plus 2.9% + $0.30 payment processing per paid ticket, and the host chooses whether they or the guest covers it. Mesibash adds a 5% + $0.30 processing fee on the guest's side, and the host always receives exactly the listed price.
If the host passes fees to guests, the common setup, here's what a ticket costs. The host sets the first number and receives it in full on both platforms.
- $10 ticket: about $11.59 on Bounce, $10.80 on Mesibash
- $15 ticket: about $16.74 on Bounce, $16.05 on Mesibash
- $25 ticket: about $27.03 on Bounce, $26.55 on Mesibash
- $50 ticket: about $52.75 on Bounce, $52.80 on Mesibash
Bounce figures are computed from its published rates ($1.00 + 2.9% + $0.30); exact cents may round differently at checkout.
Read that table honestly. At house-party prices Mesibash is slightly lower for your guests; at $50 it's within a nickel the other way. Nobody should switch platforms over these numbers, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. Both are a world away from the apps charging 20% on top.
Free events cost nothing on either platform. Try any price in the fee calculator.
The actual difference: who the platform is for
Bounce describes itself as the all-in-one social platform to build your community, host events, and connect with real friends. It is built around campus life: student unions, clubs, school admins and the students in them, with chats, photos, payments and event tools under one roof. If you're running a society with hundreds of members and want the platform to be the home base, that's a real fit.
Mesibash is built for a different host: the person whose crowd already lives on their IG and in their group chats, throwing invite-only parties where who's in the room is the product. There's no public feed to browse. Every event is a closed drop.
Concretely, that means three things Mesibash does on purpose:
1. You approve who's in. Turn on request-to-attend and every guest requests a spot, often with a short intro, and their ticket stays locked until you say yes. Your list ends up being your people and people your people vouched for.
2. The address is part of the drop. The flyer travels; the location doesn't. Ticket holders get the address close to the event. Scarcity and mystery aren't bugs here. They're the promo strategy.
3. Everyone is verified. Hosts pass identity checks through Stripe, guests clear an identity gate, names are locked to tickets. When the door opens, the list is real people who were actually supposed to be there.
Who's holding the money
The other thing worth comparing is what happens to the money between the ticket sale and the night.
On Bounce, per its FAQ, hosts are paid within 5 to 8 business days after the event ends, and a bank transfer takes another day or two. Refunds are the host's call up until the event starts: a guest taps Request Refund and the host decides. Some reviewers report slow payouts and refund disputes; treat that as what reviewers report, not as a verdict, and read the current policy before you host.
On Mesibash, the money is held until the night happens and payouts release about three days after the event. The processing fee is disclosed as non-refundable before purchase, and if a host cancels, every guest gets everything but that fee back without asking. That hold is deliberate. It's what lets a friend-of-a-friend put a card into an invite link from a host they've never met.
Whichever platform you buy on, the checklist is the same: a named host, a real date and venue, a refund policy you can read before paying, and a ticket that scans once. We wrote the long version in how to buy party tickets without getting scammed.
So which one?
- Running a club, org, or campus community that needs a membership home? Bounce is built around that, and its fees are fair.
- Throwing invite-only parties for a crowd that follows you, and you want a controlled door, a gated address, and a guest list where every name got a yes? That's exactly what Mesibash is.
The right people make the party. Pick the platform that's built to keep it your crowd. The row-by-row version is on the Bounce comparison page.
Frequently asked questions
Is Bounce free?
Bounce is free to use and free events cost nothing. On paid tickets it charges a $1.00 ticketing fee plus 2.9% + $0.30 payment processing per ticket, and the event creator decides whether the host or the guest covers it (bouncelife.com/faq, verified October 14, 2026). Mesibash is also free to host; on paid tickets the guest pays 5% + $0.30 and the host receives the price they set.
What does a $15 ticket cost on Bounce vs. Mesibash?
With fees passed to the guest, about $16.74 on Bounce ($15 + $1.00 + 2.9% + $0.30) and $16.05 on Mesibash ($15 + 5% + $0.30). At $50 it is about $52.75 on Bounce and $52.80 on Mesibash. In every case the host receives $15.00 or $50.00. Bounce figures are computed from its published rates; its checkout may round a cent differently.
When does Bounce pay hosts?
Bounce's FAQ says hosts are paid within 5 to 8 business days after the event ends, then a bank transfer takes another 24 to 48 hours. Refunds are the host's decision up until the event starts. Mesibash releases payouts about three days after the event, and a host cancellation refunds guests everything except the disclosed processing fee automatically.
Bounce or Mesibash for a house party?
For an invite-only house party, Mesibash: there is no feed, guests arrive by your link or code, you can approve each one before they pay, the address goes only to ticket holders close to the event, and the door runs on one-time QR codes. Bounce fits better when the party belongs to a club or campus community that already lives on Bounce.
